We are often faced with the challenge of handling more or less complex problems in buildings. For smaller projects or specific issues, the procedure is usually to a great extent adapted to the project. The nature and extent of the problem provide the pre-conditions for how the solution is to be arrived at.
An inventory of the current noise disturbance on the site is conducted. Sound levels are measured for future reference and compared with current regulations and standards. Disturbance is documented with photographs and pre-conditions for construction.
With the information acquired, work normally proceeds with analysis and possibly a computer simulation. Our extensive experience of building acoustics gives us clues to where to begin. When the analysis is completed, action proposals with construction instructions for the project are reported. Normally, the disturbance is checked after remedial measures with a sound measurement to verify that set requirements are met.
