History

ACAD in its original form was founded in 1983 by Lennart Karlén as a company within acoustic product development. In 2003, Lennart and Anders Schönbeck started the consultancy part in its current form.

Lennart’s extensive experience of all types of acoustic issues and wide understanding of construction engineering has meant that ACAD has been able to expand quickly. Continued recruiting has today given us the position as Sweden’s largest independent acoustics consultant. In 2006, ACAD was transformed to allow for partnership.

Our acousticians have a consistently high level of education, PhDs and Masters of Engineering. We are committed to the effective dissemination of experience to ensure growth with uncompromising quality.

ACAD is certified compliant to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001

ACAD holds an ISO 9001 certification for quality management systems and an ISO 14001 certificate for environmental management systems. The added value for our customers is their assurance that our services is based on a sound and audited platform where the quality of our services is monitored and improved.

ACAD will be the acoustics consultant with the highest skills through academic education, extensive experience and wide practical knowledge.

We will design simple, feasible solutions and give clear answers to acoustic issues. We will do this through great analytical skills and strong commitment. We shall understand and develop the customer’s issues to anticipate problems and continuously improve operations.

ACAD will work actively and purposefully to improve the acoustical environment in our projects and in society as a whole. We minimize the environmental impact in our operations and in our technical solutions. This must be made with regard to technical and financial resources within the current laws and regulations.

We will always keep a high level of service through being available, affordable and have good communication with our customers and a good experience feedback internally.
